We Are More Than A Physical Body

Lifestyle Medicine focuses primarily on our Physical Body - what we eat, how we sleep, our movement, environmental toxins, inflammation from stressors, biochemical imbalances, and our circulatory, respiratory, gastrointestinal, skeletal and muscular systems, to name a few. 

However, through interpretation of the yoga sutras of Patanjali (believed to be over 10,000 years old!) and experience, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt developed and introduced a systematic model of healing that looks at health beyond the physical body called The 5 Levels of Healing.  

This is the system I utilize in my practice.  (See Dr. Dietrich’s article here: The 5 Levels of Healing). 

Dr. Klinghardt explains that we exist within 4 additional “bodies” that rest on our physical body.  They are our Energy, Mental, Intuitive, and Spiritual Bodies.  Each has its own set of laws, order, influences that can cause it damage, and ways in which it can be healed.  The most important aspect to understand about The 5 Levels of Healing is that all 5 levels must be taken into consideration when one seeks to attain true health.  For this reason, I’ve spent the last 20+ years learning how to test and conduct healing methods on levels 1 through 4.  Although I can make suggestions, healing at the 5th Level is a practice one must do on their own.
